EGBORO BENEVOLENCE FOOD BANK :

SPECIAL TRIBUTE TO A GENIUS / PATRIOT AND ACCOMPLISHER .

It was with heavy hearts that we received the sad news of the demise of our brother, uncle and the worthy son of Egboro land, Dr. Olubunmi Felix Owoso, which occurred  early on Sunday morning , 28th June, 2020, after a brief illness.

A devout Christian, Bunmi was born on October 23 , 1949, to the families of Owoso and Kuponiyi (Ogboni Ajigiteri family ruling house of Ijebu-Jesa). He grew up in  Ilorin , Kwara State. He attended Ogbomoso Grammar School and the University of Ibadan. He studied abroad for his post graduate education. Bunmi began his teaching career at the Kaduna Polytechnic and was later appointed as Rector, Yaba College of Technology Lagos from 2001-2009. He was the immediate past Secretary General of Commonwealth Association of Technical Universities and Polytechnics (CAPA) from March 2012 – December 2018. He was also a strong financial member of our humanitarian project; Egboro Benevolence Food Bank. In fact, he was one of the first set of people who subscribed to the food bank.

A soft spoken, always smiling Bunmi was a well known educationist, an internationally renowned Food Technologist. His intellectual works and publications could be found in many accredited books all over the World. This distinguished him as a genius both within the country and at international fora.

Bunmi was indeed a good ambassador of Egboro Land both here in Nigeria and in the diaspora. We will definitely miss this genius, patriot, philanthropist and accomplisher in EGBORO Land.

We sincerely commiserate with the wife, children and the entire families of OWOSO and Kuponiyi of Ijebu Jesa. May God grant all his survivors the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.

May his  gentle soul, through the mercy of God and merits of Christ rest in perfect  peace. (Amen).

Sunre o, Omo Onijebu Egboro A Sure Fase Banu.
