As an in law to my Uncle,

As an in law to my Uncle, Engr. Bola Agbola, I knew Dr. Owoso on the family front; As co-members of Egboro Klub of Ijebu-Jesa, I knew Dr. Owoso on the social/humanitarian front and as a journalist who handled media engagements for his administration as Rector of Yaba College of Technology, I knew Dr. Owoso in the public service arena. From all these fronts, I could attest that Dr. Owoso was blessed with a rare combination of the gifts of humility, contentment, calming disposition amidst storms, disarming smiles, distaste for materialism, respect for fellow human beings irrespective of age or background, focus and commitment. A good and great Nigerian is therefore the one we mourn and thanks to CAPA for organising this memorial session of tributes. While his sudden exit remains painful, we take solace in the fact that his good deeds shall be indelible on the pages of history. RIP. – Lanre Arogundade, Executive Director, International Press Centre, Lagos and Secretary, Lagos zone, Egboro Klub.
