The day my wife Olamide Agbola formally introduced me to her brother, popularly called ‘Buoda Mi’, was amongst one of the happiest days in my life.  I got more than I bargained for.  He received me very warmly as if we had known ourselves for decades.  Within me, I was full of joy in that I knew I was fully welcomed to the Owoso family. I fully blended with the family even before the wedding ceremony.  Dr. Owoso continued to play a fatherly role to me and his siblings for these 43 years. I give glory to Almighty God for leading me to this Christian family ably led by Dr. Owoso. He was a great family man who touched the lives of everyone in the family and extended families.  He was a loving, caring and selfless father and grandfather.  He loved his family and friends greatly.  Truly, a man’s man, a family man and someone I truly looked up to.  He has left a great legacy behind which can never be forgotten. He was a dedicated member of Egboro club, Ijebu Jesa, a top social club in the town that focuses on the education of our children through scholarship and annual debate. When I reflect on the life of Dr. Owoso, I am reminded of a passage from Paul’s letter to the Colossians “As God’s chosen ones, holy and beloved, clothe yourself with compassion, kindness, humility, meekness and patience” Col. 3:12. Dr. Owoso lived out these virtues consistently.  What a great man. We will miss him greatly and he will forever live on in our hearts and minds. We love you, but God loves you most. Rest in Peace, My Rector International, My wife’s Baami, Buoda mi.
